·               Syntel has designed and developed a solution called VIEWPOINT which is based on MS SQL Server 2008 using SSIS and SSRS as the go forward solution to meet the need for automated reporting for WFBI.

·               VIEWPOINT is a report writing tool providing front-end access to an integrated information repository with the capability of extracting and reporting external system of record transactional data.  Its primary data source is FACS (SQL Server), an enterprise approved Finance application. Other data sources are Simcorp (Oracle), SCI (SQL Server), Tier2 (Sybase), CureRate (Web Service). Viewpoint is currently a project being managed under WFBI’s Infrastructure Program.

·               VIEWPOINT is a representation of transactional data which is rebuilt each day.

·               AR Engine provides insight analytical view to statutory reporting by giving the access to core data sent by main sub ledgers for dedicated controllers and finance persons through SAP Business Objects user interface. It supports end users in “drill down”, “drill up” analysis, and making deductions during validation and reconciliation processes.

·               The objectives are to reconcile local ledger accounts against SAP R/3 GL balances and to analyze classified data for statutory reporting purposes. End users are able to approve data sent forward to Bank of Finland for monetary financial institution statistics.
